The use of an oral suspension of fluconazole is not recommended for the treatment of VVC.

For the treatment of the following infections in women: vaginal candidiasis of the vagina (including vulvovaginal candidiasis); oral candidiasis of the mouth and/or vagina (including oral candidiasis); the following infections in children: genital candidiasis of the vagina (including oral candidiasis); gonorrhoea and/or candida cyto-hora. The use of a fluconazole syrup is not recommended for the treatment of gonorrhoea and/or candida cyto-hora.

In patients with moderate or severe liver disease, fluconazole is metabolized in the liver and is excreted in human milk. Fluconazole may be administered by intravenous, intramuscular, or transdermal route.

Fluconazole is excreted in human milk in a proportionate dose and with a suitable pH. Therefore, it is preferable to use a dose of fluconazole of 5 mg/kg/day.
